What Is a Feynman Card?

A Feynman card applies the Feynman technique (explain → find gaps → ask the key question → blank-page test) to reading, so you can check for yourself how well you really understood a book.
Four steps
- Explain it — write the book's content in your own words, as if teaching someone else.
- Find the gaps — notice where your explanation got shaky or vague.
- Ask the key question — identify the single most important question the book raised.
- Blank-page test — write the core content again from memory, with nothing to look at.
You can make a card for every book you finish, with AI help (suggested questions, feedback) at each step. Cards can be shared internally — with club members, for example — or exported as Markdown for external tools like Obsidian. Your page collects every card you have made so far.
